4 years later, my 1st journal!

Journal Entry: Thu Feb 12, 2009, 1:00 PM

Hello Hello!

1st journal ... yeah ... almost! This is my 1st decent journal since I'm on dA! Total: 3 journals in 4 years ... seems amazing but it's true!

I never quite got the idea of having journals, but now (I think) I do. :D From now on here I'll post news and features and what ever I think of as interesting to share you! Also in this journal I'm experimenting with css designs ... didn't find anyone I really really like yet!

So, exams finnished, 1st semester gone, starting 2nd semester classes so... I have time on my hands and can now dedicate a bit myself more to hobbies, like dA and photography!

== Edit (5 days after 2nd semester start): Apparently I don't have time on my hands! :D :( ==

Finnaly, in the next few days I'll be publishing my first features, featuring blue deviations from (more or less) unkown deviants (it's worth helping others out!)... so stay close!

Cheers people and thanks for reading,
A.

Hello all.

From time to time I enjoy going over my favourites to remind me, what I haven't achieved yet, and, the long path I still have ahead in the design world.

Today I noticed that a considerable part of them still didn't recieve a Daily Deviation honor. So I thought ... why not trying to get a DD out? It's for a good cause, maybe someone will read me (not much likely but possible :D ) So here's 5 works I consider worth of a DD.

For your appreciation:

Travel Tutorial by :iconpetercui: ~petercui

An imensely nice tutorial about cool and useful techniques. Planned, organized, designed, and written with style. Everyone has something to learn from it.

P E A C E by :iconteemoh: ~teemoh

A mosaic with more than 1500 deviant ids forming the peace symbol. I can only imagine the work, time and love that was put to made this. Amazing

LOVELIGHTS MANIFESTO by :iconvidea: ~videa

An orgasm of colours and lights in a perfect blend. What more to say?

Dreamers by :iconalyn: `alyn

A fabolous digital landscape that leads you to dreams.

FISSURE by :iconnameless-designer: =Nameless-Designer

I wasn't much into planetary images till I saw this one. Everything fits perfectly well together in a general fantastic image.

And so that's it ... I guess these would be my suggestions for Daily Deviations if it was up to me to decide.

Hope you all have enjoyed the time you took to read me and have considered it well spent!

Cheers all.
Penaf

PS: I am in any way affiliated with any of these 5 artists a part the fact I have their deviations in my favourites :)

A italien group specialized in conservation and restauration of art works submited to the internet a 9.9 GigaPixels photo of an italian fresco of  1685-1694.

This art work was made by Andrea Pozzo and it's called "La Gloria di Sant'Ignazio" (translation: "Saint Ignazio's glory") and it's located in a Church of the same name in Rome, Italy.

This group says it it the biggest high resolution photo in the world.

The final result is astonishing. The possibility of zooming in to the smallest detail offers the visitor the chance to know the art work with a detail that otherwise would never be posible.

It can be seen in this site: [link]

Enjoy.
